Safewaze Standing Seam Swivel Anchors (023-4095, 023-4096) are non-penetrating roof anchors with Minimum Breaking Strengths of 3,600 lbs. (16 kN). The S-5-U Clamps included in the purchase of the aforementioned anchors are required for installation. Replacement S-5-U Clamps (023-4101) are also available.
However, to allow for user customization, Safwaze permits the use of any standard-sized alternative S-5!® clamps with Safewaze Standing Seam Swivel Anchors. An example of a permitted S-5!® clamp substitution for these anchors would be a S-5-T Clamp.
The use of an alternative S-5!® clamp is permissible provided the user follows the Safewaze product manual, the chosen alternative clamp manual, and the following guidelines provided:
1. The intended installation location (standing seam) must have a minimum 24 roof gauge.
2. The alternative S-5!® clamp is standard-sized (not mini) with at least two set screws.
3. The alternative clamp is designed to be attached to the intended standing seam.
4. A Competent Person has determined the proper S-5!® clamp is being used for the roof structure and that the roof structure is capable of supporting intended loads.
