Safewaze offers a variety of Self-Retracting Lifelines (SRLs). Each Safewaze SRL is designed to include an energy absorber in order to reduce fall arrest forces on the user’s body in the event of a fall. Some product lines are built with an internal energy absorber inside the housing of the unit (e.g. Northstar Classic), while others utilize external energy absorbers on the lifeline or SRL bracket (e.g. Latitude Edge).
The energy absorber is a vital safety component of the unit. Regardless of an external energy absorber’s location on the Personal Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL-P), the energy absorber cannot be altered, removed, or modified in any way. Any unauthorized changes to a Safewaze SRL can result in serious injury or death.
