Discontinuation of Dorsal Link on Safewaze Harnesses

Related Products: Harnesses, Dorsal Link, Integrated SRL Channel
Related Standards: ANSI Z359.11-2021 and OSHA 1926.502, 1910.140
The Dorsal Link found on certain Safewaze harness models has been discontinued. These harnesses are still safe to use as long as the harness passes all safety inspection criteria outlined in the product’s manual. The discontinuation of the Dorsal Link was not due to any technical issues or concerns with the product.

Safewaze now offers a better designed option with the Integrated SRL Channel. This design allows
for easier installation of SRL-P brackets to the harness. The Integrated SRL Channel serves the same purpose as the discontinued Dorsal Link.

Regardless of the harness design used, a Competent Person must determine the overall system
is capable of withstanding anticipated fall loads and meets, or exceeds, OSHA required anchorage strength regulations. The manufacturer’s instructions should always be read, understood, and followed for all components and subsystems in the Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS).
